So I went into this cute little store called Sabon the other day and ended up walking out with these two goodies. The shop is so quaint and pretty, with old wooden floors and a standing sink made of white rock. And not to mention, the BEST smelling body scrubs ever. The packaging is also very vintage and super cute! I got the Patchouli Lavender Vanilla hand cream, which smells ABSOLUTELY divine and if you have them email your receipt to you, you get a free sample of their shower oil! For a store so small, I honestly spent at least half an hour in there because everything just smelled so good! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a sales associate who directs you to the sink in the back in order to try out their body scrubs. You can hang your coat and bag up on the rack at the side and step on the pedal on the floor to get water pumping out of the pipe. Now this was all a marketing ploy to lure you into buying something and honestly, it worked. However, their body scrub were amazing! It left your skin feel super soft even after a few seconds of scrubbing. However, it had a pretty nice price tag on it so I admired but didn’t buy. But this hand cream I couldn’t pass up on. It smells absolutely amazing and it doesn’t contain any parabens or mineral oil and has shea butt and aloe vera in it. They had differently scents but this scent called to me! It smells exactly as it’s named; like patchouli mixed with lavender and vanilla to create this euphoric scent. Honestly, if they had the perfume of this scent I would have bought it. Anyways, this hand cream other than just smelling great, leaves your hands feeling super soft and silky. And went paired with the scrub, you won’t be able to stop touching or smelling your hands!
The shower oil is just a fancy way of saying body wash and it has a pretty fresh but basic scent to it, probably because it’s jasmine based. Sabon also sells soap, bath bombs, skin care, fragrances, and basically everything related to body care. It is considered a ‘luxury’ shop because some of the prices are pretty steep, but the quality is great!
I sound like I’m reviewing the store instead of the hand lotion and shower oil, but I can’t help it. The experience was fantastic 😀 They also have a website which is just Sabon.com and they do have stores located in big international cities a lot of stores located in NYC alone. If you’re near one, you should definitely check it out!
