Fall 2012 Fashion Trends

I love Fall; the leaves turning, the temperature being just right and of course, dressing for Fall weather. New trends are always gracing runways every season but we’re no strangers to these quintessential Fall trends 🙂 Here’s what’s back in this fall:

1. Berry Red

We’re seeing red this season, from bright hues to berries like burgundy. Red jackets graced many F/W runways such as DKNY, Tommy Hilifger, Thakoon, Chloe, Derek Lam, Peter Som and more.

2. Menswear Galore

Whip out the blazers and tweed, menswear is making a big comeback this Fall. It’s all about a strong, independent woman who can hold her own.

3. Military

Along with menswear inspired, military is also making a huge comeback this Fall.

4. East meets West

Eastern inspired designs and prints are making a debut this Fall as well. Exotic prints add a touch of Eastern elegance to many designer’s pieces.

5. Gothic

We’re talking about being draped from head to toe in black here. Time to unleash your inner goth…or urban city chic.

6. Baroque

Inspired by patterns and designs from the Baroque time period, these pieces add a wonderful touch to any outfit.

7. Leather

All leather everything; well not really, but leather is also making a big comeback this F/W. Where would one be if they didn’t have a statement leather piece (jacket, shoe or bag) in their closet?

8. Winter White

What a foreshadowing of the upcoming months, these outfits are very chic and classy.

9. Peplum

Peplum popped up on runways such as Derek Lam, J. Mendel, Preen, Narisco Rodriguez, Phillip Lim and more.

10. Plaid

Plaid is back; the print is just so cozy and perfect for Fall/Winter weather.
