DIY Egg Mask!

The main reason I love using this mask is because of the pore tightening effect. I can literally see the difference in the size of my pores after using this mask. It’s like I have no pores after washing this mask off. This mask is super easy to do and costs you almost nothing. You only need one simple ingredient: an egg. You can use brown or white, it’s completely up to you.

Benefits of this egg mask:

– Your face will feel firmer and more supple

– Your pores will be minimized and look/feel tighter

– Your complexion will be brightened

– Oil control so if you have oily/combination skin, this is the mask for you

How to prepare:

Step 1: Crack the egg and carefully separate the white from the yolk. I recommend you placing them in separate bowls.

Step 2: Beat the egg white until it’s nice and frothy. The egg white shouldn’t smell but if it does a little it’s alright because you’ll only need to bear with it for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Using your fingers, apply the egg white all over your face avoiding the eye area.  It might get a little messy but bear with me!

Step 4: Wait about 10-15 minutes for the mask to harden. It’s finished when you can’t move your face anymore.

Step 5: Wash the egg white mask off and pat your face dry.

You should notice a difference in your skin already. It should feel firmer, look brighter and your pores should appear smaller/nonexistent.

If you’ve got oily or combination skin, I recommend you following up with your usual moisturizing routine and leaving it at that. However, if you’ve got dry skin, you may want to put the yolk to good use now. The yolk is very moisturizing so it is perfect for dry skin types.

After you’ve washed the egg white off, apply the egg yolk and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Wash it off afterwards and follow up with your regular routine as well. Your skin should feel very hydrated due to the yolk.

If you’ve only used the white of an egg and don’t feel like wasting the yolk, cook it! 🙂
