The secret to great skin is not in what products you use but how you treat your skin.
One – Keeping your skin as clean as possible is a MUST! Therefore wash your face twice a day with a cleanser that contains salicylic acid, tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide. A lot of acne stems from the over-stimulation of the sebaceous glands on your face caused by hormones. By controlling the oil on your face you can minimize the number of breakouts.
Two – Drink water! Drinking water helps detoxify your body as well as provide much needed hydration to your skin. Hydrated skin will also be soft and supple 🙂
Three – Find a suitable moisturizer. No matter what skin type you have whether it’s dry, oil/combination, or oily, you should moisturize no matter what! Moisturizer provides additional moisture as well as protects the skin from the outside environment.
Four – Exfoliate. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and over time can even out your skin tone by reducing the appearance of blemishes and hyper-pigmentation. Be careful to not over-exfoliate! You should only be exfoliating twice or three times a week.
Five – Invest in a gentle toner. After cleansing, applying toner will remove any residue makeup and traces of the cleanser left behind. It will also tighten the skin and keep oil at bay.
